W&S Motorsport and kart team TB Racing cooperate in the talent development sector

W&S Motorsport and the TB Racing Team will work together more closely in future to promote young talents from karting even more specifically and to support them in entering GT racing. Professional motorsport and the promotion of young talent both play a central role for both teams.

The two team bosses Daniel Schellhaas (W&S Motorsport) and Thomas Braumüller (TB Racing Team) have already been involved in motorsport together and have celebrated successes in the past. They would like to pass on their experience to newcomers and support them on their way to becoming professional GT racing drivers.

The TB Racing Team is one of the best kart teams in Germany and Europe and has already won titles in the WSK Super Masters Series, the German Kart Championship and the ADAC Kart Masters. The team's greatest success came in 2018 when it won the FIA Kart European Championship and finished runner-up in the world championship.

Through professional training, W&S Motorsport has accompanied young talents like Finn Zulauf from youngster to race winner and team champion. Jannes Fittje and Daniel Gregor also began their motorsport careers in karting. In 2023, with the support and coaching of W&S Motorsport, they showed strong development in the GT4 car and secured several race wins and podium finishes in the fiercely contested ADAC GT4 Germany. At the season finale in Hockenheim, they secured the team championship title in the team standings and finished third in both the overall drivers' and junior standings. The squad from Ofterdingen is currently one of the best Porsche GT4 teams.

Together, the aim is to make it easier for young drivers from karting to make the transition to automobile racing. The young drivers are selected by the TB Racing Team and trained at the W&S Motorsport Academy in order to successfully master the transition to automobile racing.

"Our aim is to offer young drivers the best possible training to become a successful racing driver," says TB Racing Team Principal Thomas Braumüller. "We have been doing this for many years now. For the next step after karting, we now have a partner in W&S Motorsport who can continue exactly that in GT racing."

"The cooperation with the TB Racing Team is the next logical step in our mission to promote young talent. We want to give aspiring juniors who come from karting the opportunity to drive their first laps in a GT4 car," says Daniel Schellhaas. "This gives them a feeling for the car and allows them to get to know the team. If they perform well, nothing stands in the way of a season in one of our Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport cars. Before that, they complete a workshop at the W&S Motorsport Academy and are perfectly prepared in all areas for the upcoming race weekends."
