W&S Motorsport will tackle the legendary 24-hour race at the Nürburgring for the second time with the distinctive yellow CMS Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 Clubsport #962. The proven machine, which has already delivered impressive performances in the current NLS season, will be piloted by an experienced quartet.
Moritz Oberheim, Lorenz Stegmann, Finn Zulauf and Joshua Bednarski will share driving duties in the Porsche for this highlight of the German motorsport calendar. All four drivers know the Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 Clubsport inside out and bring extensive experience with this car type. The team celebrated a class victory with the #962 at the third NLS round this season and builds on the success of last year’s Cup3 drivers’ and team championships.
“With its striking yellow livery, our Porsche is not only an eye-catcher on track but also carries our CMS brand proudly through the Green Hell,” explains Andreas Göbel, Managing Director of CMS. CMS Automotive Trading GmbH, which has stood for high-quality alloy wheels and technological innovation for over 40 years, is supporting the team for the second time in this special event. As one of Europe’s leading manufacturers, CMS today supplies numerous renowned automotive manufacturers including Audi, BMW, Mercedes-Benz and Volkswagen as original equipment supplier.
Team Principal Daniel Schellhaas is optimistic:
“We’ve assembled a strong driver quartet that brings both experience and speed. Our goal is not only to win Cup3 but also to be among the fastest non-GT3 cars. The 24-hour race is always a special challenge, but we’re well prepared and looking forward to this highlight.” “Numerous colleagues and CMS fans will be following excitedly both trackside and on screens. We wish the entire team and our drivers Joshua, Moritz, Lorenz and Finn much success, strong nerves and an unforgettable race,” Göbel concluded.
The 24-hour race at the Nürburgring takes place from Thursday, June 19, 2025 to Sunday, June 22, 2025 and is considered one of the world’s toughest endurance races.
