Important points, a PRO/AM win and a look at the championship – next round at the Nürburgring
Ofterdingen, 27 July 2026 – The third round of the ADAC GT4 Germany at the Motorsport Arena Oschersleben was a demanding weekend for AVIA W&S Motorsport. The Balance of Performance presented the entire Porsche camp with challenges and never quite allowed the team to find its rhythm. Nevertheless, AVIA W&S Motorsport maximised what was possible, collected important points and sits just one point behind the top of the championship standings. It remains exciting.
Thursday – Extensive Preparation
On Thursday the team completed three test sessions and gathered plenty of kilometres. The drivers took away valuable insights – despite the challenges posed by the Balance of Performance, the preparation was an important step for the weekend.
Friday – Free Practice
In the two free practice sessions on Friday, the team logged further kilometres and prepared well for qualifying and the races. The starting position was solid.
Qualifying 1 – Saturday
Qualifying did not go entirely to plan, but the team was ready. The AVIA Porsche #30 of Alon Gabbay and Maximilian Schreyer took tenth in class and overall. The #31 of Lachlan Robinson and Denny Berndt placed eighth in class and overall. The #32 of Tim Horrell and Hendrik Still secured the class lead and 17th overall. The #33 of Frederic Zebis and Nicolas Guillaume finished eleventh in class and overall.
Race 1 – A Good Race, a Bitter Incident
The first race initially looked promising. The #31 of Robinson and Berndt fought its way up to seventh in class and overall. The AVIA Porsche #30 finished tenth in class and overall, the #33 eleventh in class and overall.
A particular low point was the incident involving the #32 of Horrell and Still: the car was taken out through no fault of its own and beached in the gravel – especially frustrating as the two cars involved were not even in the same class. Hendrik Still was recovered from the gravel and was able to finish the race, but dropped from first to second in class. Still a battling result under the circumstances.
Qualifying 2 – Sunday
On Sunday the team showed an improvement. The #32 of Horrell and Still again secured the class lead and took fifth overall – a strong statement. The AVIA Porsche #30 took sixth in class and seventh overall, the #31 ninth in class and tenth overall, and the #33 tenth in class and eleventh overall.
Race 2 – A PRO/AM Win and Rain
The second race brought a little rain into play – and with it new opportunities. Denny Berndt used the wet phase cleverly and gained three positions. When the field bunched up again through a yellow phase, he defended his position strongly. In the end the #31 finished sixth in class and overall. The #32 of Horrell and Still once again took the class win and ninth overall – a deserved PRO/AM victory for the duo. The AVIA Porsche #30 with Schreyer and Gabbay finished ninth in class and tenth overall, the #33 eleventh in class and twelfth overall.

Voices from the Weekend
Maximilian Schreyer (#30) stayed positive despite everything: “A weekend with highs and lows. But we took away a lot of points. Many thanks to AVIA W&S Motorsport.”
Denny Berndt (#31) was delighted with his strong performance in the rain: “I was able to make up a good three positions during the rain – through a yellow phase the field came back together. It was fun and I’m looking forward to the next races.”
Tim Horrell (#32) was mixed in his assessment: “P1 in the PRO/AM classification is great. In the overall result I had hoped for more, but that’s racing. We’ll be back on the attack at the Nürburgring.”
Frederic Zebis (#33) saw personal progress: “This weekend was a personal improvement for me – my pace got better day by day. That gives me confidence for the Nürburgring.”
Team principal Daniel Schellhaas summed up: “It was a difficult weekend – we had no pace all weekend, and that applied to all the Porsches. We tried to extract the maximum and collected a lot of important points in the process. In the championship standings we sit just one point behind the top. It remains very exciting – and we’re looking forward to the Nürburgring.”
