The Barcelona circuit witnessed the season finale of the Winter Series, where W&S Motorsport secured the highest number of podiums in the Winter Series.

On Thursday and Friday, the team was able to run without issues, despite the challenging weather conditions on the track, as there was a lot of water, especially on Friday. This posed a significant challenge for our drivers.

Saturday began with both qualifying sessions, as is customary in the Winter Series, highlighting the great Tim Horrell, who secured Pole Position in the Pro Am category for the first race that would take place later. Unsurprisingly, the American driver won the first race of the weekend, and Daniel Blickle achieved a fantastic 2nd place in the Am category.

For the final closing of the Winter Series, it was a great day as it started with a victory in race 2 for Max Kronberg, who was making his debut this weekend as Daniel Blickle’s teammate in this Winter Series. Alon Gabbay also made his mark, achieving a commendable 2nd place in the Pro category, and Luciano Schneider, who was also debuting this weekend in the Winter Series alongside Daniel Nillson, finished in 2nd place in the Pro Am category.

To wrap up, in the endurance race, we had another victory, this time in the Am category, achieved by Daniel Blickle and Max Kronberg. Luciano Schneider remained on the podium, securing 2nd place alongside his teammate Daniel Nillson. Thanks to these results, Tim Horrell and Nico Gründel clinched the Winter Series championship in the Pro Am category. Overall, it has been a fantastic Winter Series for our team and drivers, preparing for the upcoming championships that will begin this March.

Car #31

Alon Gabbay:
“Race 2 is over. It was a really good race to be honest. At the beginning we expected dry conditions, but it was raining again. So, it took some time to get the pace but after a couple of laps a overtook the Mclaren, I was chasing P1 and it was really close at the end. It was really tight. But I’m really happy with the P2 and my head was to continue for the endurance and make another good race.
The endurance race is over, I think it was a really good start from Maxi. He did a good lap time and he pushed as much as he can. Then I jumped in into the car. There were a lot of safety car before the driver change and afterwards. It was quite tough to handle the dry conditions. I tried to get to the front guys but the face wasn’t there. At the end we finished P4 after penalties and I’m really happy with this result and now focus on the season.”

“We have finalized the weekend in Barcelona. My first time here and it is like a startup for the 2025 season.
