W&S Motorsport celebrated a double success in the SP10 class during the second round of the Nürburgring Endurance Series. Moritz Oberheim, Philip Miemois, and Toby Goodman secured the class victory in the AVIA Porsche Cayman #165, while Stephan Brodmerkel, Jürgen Vöhringer, and Niclas Wiedmann took the SP10 AM win and second place overall in class with their Massivhaus Porsche Cayman #164.

Following Friday’s free practice, the team successfully refined the car’s setup. “The improvements to the setup made a positive difference for all three drivers during the race”, says Miemois. “The car’s performance was outstanding.” Teammate Goodman adds: “All drivers did a fantastic job today, and the team provided us with a perfectly prepared car.”

The Massivhaus Porsche Cayman #164 also demonstrated strong performance. Starting from second position in class, the team adjusted their strategy during the race, shortening the first stint from nine to seven laps. This tactical decision proved crucial – the team took the lead in the AM category and maintained it until the checkered flag.

In the Cup3 class, the team experienced mixed fortunes. The #982 crew of Christoph Krombach, Richard Jodexnis, and René Höber showed impressive qualifying pace after overnight repairs, setting the AM class benchmark with a 9:04 minute lap. Despite a cautious start and numerous intense battles during the race, the trio secured fourth place in the AM classification.

The race ended prematurely for the #962 entry of Joshua Bednarski, Kai Riemer, and Lorenz Stegmann. After a strong start and advancing to fifth position, the car had to retire following contact with another competitor around lap 23.

The #961 crew of Oliver Kunz, Peter Siebert, and Fabian Peitzmeier improved from 72nd on the grid to finish 61st overall and eighth in the Cup3 AM classification. Despite some time penalties, the team gained valuable experience. “The car performed excellently, and we consistently improved throughout the race”, Oliver Kunz concludes.

The next round of the Nürburgring Endurance Series takes place in two weeks.
