W&S Motorsport feiert Doppel-Klassensieg beim 24h-Rennen auf dem Nürburgring

Zwei Klassensiege und starke Teamleistung – W&S Motorsport schreibt Geschichte

W&S Motorsport hat beim 24h-Rennen auf dem Nürburgring eine der beeindruckendsten Leistungen der Teamgeschichte abgeliefert. Zwei Klassensiege, ein dritter Klassenplatz sowie ein fünfter Platz – vier Fahrzeuge im Ziel – und eine Woche voller Herausforderungen, die das gesamte Team an seine Grenzen brachte und darüber hinaus. Die Grüne Hölle hatte in diesem Jahr wirklich alles zu bieten.

Ein Wochenende wie kein anderes

Das Wetter machte dem Team von Beginn an das Leben schwer. Regen, Schnee, Graupel und Sonnenschein – manchmal innerhalb weniger Stunden – stellten die Reifenwahl vor extreme Herausforderungen und forderten von Fahrern und Ingenieuren permanente Aufmerksamkeit und Flexibilität.

Doch bereits vor dem Startschuss des Rennens hatte W&S Motorsport mehr durchgemacht als manch ein Team in einer ganzen Saison.

Mittwoch – Adenauer Racing Day

Zum ersten Mal nahm W&S Motorsport am Adenauer Racing Day teil – und die Atmosphäre war trotz schlechten Wetters schlichtweg beeindruckend. Zahlreiche Fans, großartige Stimmung und ein Event, das dem gesamten Team noch einmal deutlich gemacht hat, warum das 24h-Rennen so besonders ist.

Donnerstag – Getriebeschaden beim Massivhaus Porsche #164

Der erste Rückschlag ließ nicht lange auf sich warten: Der Massivhaus Porsche #164 erlitt einen Getriebeschaden. Doch das Team ließ sich nicht beirren – in einer Nachtschicht wurde das Getriebe repariert und das Fahrzeug rechtzeitig wieder fit gemacht. Eine beeindruckende Leistung, die zeigt, was in diesem Team steckt.

Freitag – Pole Position und zwei lange Nächte

Das Qualifying hielt sowohl einen Höhepunkt als auch den nächsten Rückschlag bereit. Der CMS Porsche #962 holte trotz eines technischen Defekts im Getriebe die Pole Position in der Cup3-Klasse – ein außergewöhnliches Qualifying. Als Vorjahressieger in der Cup3-Klasse stellte das Team damit erneut die Weichen für einen weiteren Erfolg. Doch das Getriebe musste getauscht werden. Da bereits das Ersatzgetriebe vom Donnerstag verbaut war, stand das Team vor einem großen Problem. Alle haben zusammen gehalten und Porsche hat ein neues Getriebe um 23 Uhr direkt vom Werk in Stuttgart ins Fahrerlager einfahren lassen. Das Team arbeitete die zweite Nacht in Folge – noch bevor das eigentliche Rennen überhaupt begonnen hatte.

Ebenfalls im dritten Qualifying ereignete sich ein Einschlag des BMW M2 #899 im Bereich Flugplatz. Das Fahrzeug war zwar reparierbar, doch nach eingehender Analyse aller Beteiligten kamen das Team und die Fahrer gemeinsam zu dem Entschluss, dass die Voraussetzungen für einen erfolgreichen Einsatz nicht gegeben waren. Wir werden das Projekt auch nach dem 24h-Rennen nicht weiter fortsetzen.

Samstag – Das Rennen

Das 24h-Rennen startete und W&S Motorsport war bereit. Früh im Rennen hatte der Massivhaus Porsche #164 mit einem Defekt an der Lambdasonde zu kämpfen, der den Topspeed um 15 bis 20 km/h reduzierte. Das Team reagierte schnell, behob das Problem und schickte das Fahrzeug zurück auf die Strecke.

Was folgte, waren viele Stunden voller Konzentration, Teamarbeit und Leidenschaft. Keine schweren Unfälle, nur kleine Schäden – das Team arbeitete präzise, fokussiert und immer mit dem Ziel vor Augen, alle Fahrzeuge sicher ins Ziel zu bringen. Und die Fans? Die Stimmung rund um die Nordschleife war schlichtweg unvergesslich. Mit über 382.000 Zuschauern verwandelte sich der Nürburgring einmal mehr in ein einzigartiges Festival.

Das Ergebnis

Nach einigen umkämpften Runden stand ein Ergebnis, das die gesamte Vorwoche mehr als rechtfertigt:

Der CMS Porsche #962 mit Moritz Oberheim, Lorenz Stegmann, Philip Miemois und Niclas Wiedmann holte als Vorjahressieger erneut den Klassensieg in der Cup3-PRO-Wertung und belegte den 26. Gesamtrang.

Der Häberle Porsche #961 mit Marius Rauer, Michal Makeš, Zhen Dong Zhang und Chao Lu rundete das herausragende Teamresultat mit einem starken dritten Klassenplatz in der Cup3-PRO-Wertung und Gesamtrang 31 ab – ein Klassenpodium für gleich zwei W&S-Fahrzeuge.

Der CK Porsche #982 mit Christoph Krombach, Oliver Kunz, Axel Duffner und Leo-Livius Arne Weber feierte den Klassensieg in der Cup3-AM-Wertung mit einem Vorsprung von 2:46 Minuten auf den Zweiten und belegte Gesamtrang 34. Bemerkenswert: Das gesamte AM-Podium beendete das Rennen in derselben Rennrunde – ein Zeichen, wie eng und hart umkämpft diese Klasse war.

Der Massivhaus Porsche #164 mit Stephan Brodmerkel, Constantin Schöll, Jürgen Vöhringer und Hendrik Still zeigte trotz aller technischen Rückschläge zu Beginn der Woche eine kämpferische Leistung über 24 Stunden. Mit dem fünften Klassenplatz in der SP10-ProAm-Wertung und Gesamtrang 44 brachte die Besatzung das Fahrzeug verdient ins Ziel – eine starke Teamleistung nach einer aufreibenden Woche.

Stimmen zum Wochenende

Lorenz Stegmann (#962) strahlte: „Das war ein herausforderndes 24-Stunden-Rennen mit schwer vorhersagbaren Wetterbedingungen und guter Konkurrenz – aber wir freuen uns sehr, dass wir erneut die Klasse gewinnen konnten. Mit so vielen Fahrzeugen in einem Feld zu fahren war turbulent, aber die Kulisse war mega.“

Moritz Oberheim (#962) war überwältigt: „Das Team ist einfach der Hammer. Alle haben an einem Strang gezogen, zusammengehalten und sich gegenseitig ergänzt. Danke an CMS und das gesamte Team – das Auto war perfekt vorbereitet.“

Marius Rauer (#961) blickte stolz zurück: „Mein zweites 24h-Rennen und wir haben P3 eingefahren. Ich bin super zufrieden. Es hat riesigen Spaß gemacht – das Teamwork war hervorragend und ich habe mich mit meinen Teamkollegen von Anfang an super verstanden.“

Oliver Kunz (#982) konnte es kaum glauben: „Das war mein erstes 24-Stunden-Rennen – und das direkt mit einem Klassensieg zu krönen ist sensationell. Unser Ziel war es, die Ziellinie zu erreichen. Dass wir das sogar mit einem Sieg geschafft haben, macht uns überglücklich.“

Christoph Krombach (#982) ergänzte: „Was für ein Mega-Wochenende. Wir haben den Klassensieg eingefahren, wir können es noch gar nicht glauben. Damit haben wir nicht gerechnet, aber wir sind natürlich super glücklich.“

Michal Makeš (#961) fasste es treffend zusammen: „Am Anfang der Woche haben wir es nicht für möglich gehalten, am Ende P3 einzufahren. Ich bin super happy – und super müde. Aber das ist das 24h-Rennen.“

Hendrik Still (#164): „Die 24h Nürburgring waren für uns als Team ein intensives und gleichzeitig unglaublich besonderes Wochenende. Über die komplette Distanz haben alle einen starken Job gemacht und bis zum Schluss gekämpft. Mit dem Ergebnis können wir definitiv zufrieden sein. Danke an das gesamte Team, unsere Partner und natürlich die Fans entlang der Strecke für die Unterstützung während des ganzen Wochenendes.“

Teamchef Daniel Schellhaas bilanzierte: „Mega Job der Fahrer, immer fokussiert, wenig Fehler gemacht. Das Team hat hervorragend funktioniert – von der ersten Nachtschicht bis zur Zielflagge. Ein riesiger Dank gilt allen Sponsoren und Partnern, die uns auf unserem Weg unterstützen.“

    Two Class Victories and a Strong Team Performance – W&S Motorsport Makes History

    W&S Motorsport delivered one of the most impressive performances in team history at the 24h race on the Nürburgring. Two class victories, a third-place class finish, and a fifth place – four cars crossing the finish line – and a week full of challenges that pushed the entire team to its limits and beyond. The Green Hell truly had everything to offer this year.

    A Weekend Like No Other

    The weather made life difficult for the team from the very beginning. Rain, snow, sleet, and sunshine – sometimes within just a few hours – posed extreme challenges for tyre selection and demanded constant attention and flexibility from drivers and engineers alike.

    But even before the race started, W&S Motorsport had already been through more than many teams experience in an entire season.

    Wednesday – Adenauer Racing Day

    For the first time, W&S Motorsport took part in the Adenauer Racing Day – and the atmosphere, despite the poor weather, was simply breathtaking. Countless fans, a fantastic atmosphere, and an event that reminded the entire team once again why the 24h race is so special.

    Thursday – Gearbox Failure on the Massivhaus Porsche #164

    The first setback came quickly: the Massivhaus Porsche #164 suffered a gearbox failure. But the team refused to be deterred – working through the night, they repaired the gearbox and got the car back in shape in time. An impressive achievement that shows exactly what this team is made of.

    Friday – Pole Position and Two Long Nights

    Qualifying brought both a highlight and the next setback. The CMS Porsche #962 claimed pole position in the Cup3 class despite a technical gearbox defect – an extraordinary qualifying run. As defending class champions in Cup3, the team once again set the stage for further success. However, the gearbox had to be replaced. Since the spare gearbox from Thursday had already been fitted, the team faced a major problem. Everyone pulled together, and Porsche dispatched a new gearbox directly from their factory in Stuttgart to the paddock at 11 p.m. The team worked through a second consecutive night – before the actual race had even begun.

    Also during Q3, the BMW M2 #899 was involved in an accident in the Flugplatz section. The car was repairable, but after a thorough assessment by all parties, the team and drivers jointly concluded that the conditions for a successful campaign were not in place. We will not be continuing the project beyond the 24h race.

    Saturday – The Race

    The 24h race got underway and W&S Motorsport was ready. Early in the race, the Massivhaus Porsche #164 struggled with a lambda sensor failure that reduced its top speed by 15 to 20 km/h. The team reacted quickly, resolved the issue, and sent the car back out onto the circuit.

    What followed were many hours of concentration, teamwork, and passion. No serious accidents, only minor damage – the team worked with precision and focus, always with the goal of bringing all cars safely to the finish. And the fans? The atmosphere around the Nordschleife was simply unforgettable. With over 382,000 spectators, the Nürburgring once again transformed into a unique festival.

    The Results

    After several hard-fought laps, the result more than justified everything the preceding week had demanded:

    The CMS Porsche #962, driven by Moritz Oberheim, Lorenz Stegmann, Philip Miemois, and Niclas Wiedmann, claimed the class victory in the Cup3-PRO category as defending champions, finishing 26th overall.

    The Häberle Porsche #961, driven by Marius Rauer, Michal Makeš, Zhen Dong Zhang, and Chao Lu, rounded off the outstanding team result with a strong third-place class finish in the Cup3-PRO category, placing 31st overall – a class podium for two W&S cars simultaneously.

    The CK Porsche #982, driven by Christoph Krombach, Oliver Kunz, Axel Duffner, and Leo-Livius Arne Weber, claimed the class victory in the Cup3-AM category with a margin of 2 minutes and 46 seconds over second place, finishing 34th overall. Notably, the entire AM podium completed the race in the same lap – a testament to how closely and fiercely contested this class was.

    The Massivhaus Porsche #164, driven by Stephan Brodmerkel, Constantin Schöll, Jürgen Vöhringer, and Hendrik Still, delivered a fighting performance across all 24 hours despite the technical setbacks earlier in the week. Fifth place in the SP10-ProAm category and 44th overall was a well-earned result – a strong team effort after an exhausting week.

    Quotes from the Weekend

    Lorenz Stegmann (#962) beamed: “It was a challenging 24-hour race with unpredictable weather conditions and tough competition – but we’re absolutely delighted to have won the class again. Racing in a field with so many cars was hectic, but the atmosphere was incredible.”

    Moritz Oberheim (#962) was overwhelmed: “The team is just phenomenal. Everyone pulled in the same direction, stuck together, and complemented each other perfectly. Thanks to CMS and the entire team – the car was perfectly prepared.”

    Marius Rauer (#961) looked back with pride: “My second 24h race and we brought home P3. I’m extremely happy. It was enormous fun – the teamwork was outstanding and I clicked with my teammates right from the start.”

    Oliver Kunz (#982) could hardly believe it: “This was my first 24-hour race – and to crown it with a class victory straight away is absolutely sensational. Our goal was to reach the finish line. The fact that we did it with a win on top makes us incredibly happy.”

    Christoph Krombach (#982) added: “What an incredible weekend. We’ve won the class – we still can’t quite believe it. We didn’t expect this, but we’re naturally over the moon.”

    Michal Makeš (#961) summed it up perfectly: “At the start of the week, we didn’t think P3 was possible. I’m super happy – and super tired. But that’s the 24h race.”

    Hendrik Still (#164): “The 24h Nürburgring was an intense and at the same time incredibly special weekend for us as a team. Everyone did a strong job over the full distance and fought until the very end. We can definitely be satisfied with the result. Thank you to the entire team, our partners, and of course the fans along the circuit for their support throughout the whole weekend.”

    Team principal Daniel Schellhaas concluded: “Mega job by the drivers – always focused, very few mistakes. The team functioned brilliantly, from the first night shift all the way to the chequered flag. A huge thank you goes to all the sponsors and partners who support us on our journey.”

Genau dafür brennt W&S Motorsport – und genau dafür ist das Team in diesem Jahr wieder dabei.

    Erinnerung an den Klassensieg 2025

    Letztes Jahr schrieb W&S Motorsport beim 24h-Rennen ein besonderes Kapitel: Der CMS Porsche #962 mit Moritz Oberheim und Lorenz Stegmann kämpfte sich durch 24 Stunden Nordschleife und holte am Ende den Klassensieg – ein Moment, der das gesamte Team mit Stolz erfüllt hat und der in diesem Jahr unbedingt wiederholt werden soll. Die Erinnerung daran ist Antrieb und Ansporn zugleich.

    In diesem Jahr geht W&S Motorsport mit fünf Fahrzeugen – vier Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS CS und einem BMW M2 – an den Start. Rund 250.000 Zuschauer werden erwartet, die die Nordschleife in ein einzigartiges Festival verwandeln.

    Fünf Fahrzeuge, ein Ziel

    W&S Motorsport tritt 2026 mit einem starken und erfahrenen Aufgebot an. Die meisten Fahrer gehen auch bei der NLS mit W&S Motorsport an den Start – dazu stoßen einige bekannte Gesichter aus der Motorsport-Szene.

    Die Stimmen vor dem Start

    Stephan Brodmerkel (#164) bringt es auf den Punkt: „Das 24h-Rennen ist nicht nur ein Rennen – es ist Motorsport pur. Eine Woche mit Fans und dem Team, die ihresgleichen sucht. Wir treten mit großer Freude, spürbarer Euphorie und der Unterstützung der Fans an – mit dem klaren Ziel, alles zu geben.“

    Moritz Oberheim (#962) will den Titel verteidigen: „Ich freue mich riesig. Letztes Jahr konnten wir den Klassensieg holen – das war ein unvergesslicher Moment. Dass ich wieder gemeinsam mit Lorenz fahren darf, macht es noch schöner, da wir ein eingespieltes Team sind. Wir wollen den Titel verteidigen. Das gesamte Team ist gut aufgestellt, aber auch die Konkurrenz hat starke Fahrerpaarungen. Es wird spannend.“

    Zhen Dong Zhang (#961) freut sich auf sein erstes Rennen mit W&S: „Es ist mein drittes 24h-Rennen am Nürburgring – aber das erste mit W&S Motorsport. Ich freue mich wirklich sehr, weil das Team sehr stark ist und enorm viel Erfahrung beim 24h-Rennen mitbringt.“

    Christoph Krombach (#982) kennt die Herausforderung: „2025 haben wir in der hart umkämpften AM-Klasse der Cup3 gezeigt, dass mit uns zu rechnen ist. Dieses Jahr werden 150 Fahrzeuge am Start sein – es wird noch voller und die Gangart wird sicherlich härter. Unser Ziel für 2026: First we have to finish, then we can finish first. Gutes Verkehrsmanagement und das nötige bisschen Glück – und dann ist vieles möglich.“

    Yanis und Frank Anhorn (#899) gehen gemeinsam an den Start: „Papa und ich fühlen uns gut vorbereitet. Wir haben fleißig gearbeitet, unsere Zeiten und Daten analysiert und wissen, wo wir noch mehr geben können. Wir sind sehr positiv gestimmt und freuen uns auf das Rennen.“

    Teamchef Daniel Schellhaas blickt voller Vorfreude auf das Highlight der Saison: „Das 24h-Rennen ist für uns alle ein ganz besonderes Ereignis. Wir haben ein starkes Fahreraufgebot und ein perfekt vorbereitetes Serviceteam. Die Konkurrenz wird stark sein – aber wir sind bereit. Langen Nächten auf der Nordschleife entgegen – genau dafür sind wir hier.“

    Memories of the 2025 Class Win

    Last year, W&S Motorsport wrote a very special chapter at the 24h race: the CMS Porsche #962 with Moritz Oberheim and Lorenz Stegmann fought through 24 hours on the Nordschleife and ultimately claimed the class win – a moment that filled the entire team with pride and one we are determined to repeat this year. The memory is both motivation and inspiration.

    This year, W&S Motorsport will line up with five cars – four Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS CS and one BMW M2. Around 250,000 spectators are expected, transforming the Nordschleife into a truly unique festival.

    Five Cars, One Goal

    W&S Motorsport enters the 2026 race with a strong and experienced line-up. Most of the drivers also race with W&S Motorsport in the NLS – joined by several familiar faces from the wider motorsport scene.

    Voices Before the Start

    Stephan Brodmerkel (#164) sums it up: “The 24h race is not just a race – it is pure motorsport. A week with fans and the team that is unmatched. We arrive with great joy, tangible euphoria and the support of the fans – with the clear goal of giving everything.”

    Moritz Oberheim (#962) wants to defend the title: “I am really looking forward to it. Last year we managed to take the class win – an unforgettable moment. Sharing the car with Lorenz again makes it even better, as we are a well-established pairing. We want to defend the title. The whole team is well prepared, but the competition has strong driver line-ups too. It will be exciting.”

    Zhen Dong Zhang (#961) is excited about his first race with W&S: “It is my third 24h race at the Nürburgring – but my first with W&S Motorsport. I am really very pleased, because the team is very strong and brings enormous experience to the 24h race.”

    Christoph Krombach (#982) knows the challenge: “In 2025 we showed in the fiercely contested AM class of Cup3 that we are a force to be reckoned with. Good traffic management and the necessary bit of luck – and many things become possible.”

    As of this week, winter mode is officially over: the NLS is back — and W&S Motorsport is fired up for the first meters on the Nordschleife.

    After a strong previous season, the direction is clear: work cleanly, deliver consistent performance, and push forward race by race. The anticipation is huge — and now there’s only one thing that matters: getting back out on track.

    W&S Motorsport wants to seamlessly build on the team and driver championship titles from recent years — and pick up exactly where the team left off.

    From the Nordschleife to China – Further Improvement After Successful 2024 Season

    W&S Motorsport has concluded the 2025 season with an impressive record: 15 championship titles across six international racing series underscore the performance and versatility of the German motorsport team. Following the already highly successful 2024 season with seven championship titles, the team was able to improve significantly once again. From the GT4 Winter Series through the domestic ADAC GT4 Germany, the GT4 European Series and the NLS Nürburgring Endurance Series to successes in China – the team demonstrated its class on diverse tracks and in various competition formats.

    ADAC GT4 Germany: Third Consecutive Team Championship

    In ADAC GT4 Germany, AVIA W&S Motorsport secured the team championship, underlining its dominance in the German GT4 scene. This marks the third consecutive team championship in the team’s fourth full season – impressive proof of consistency at the highest level. Hendrik Still and Philipp Gogollok completed the success with the driver vice-championship, delivering consistently strong performances throughout the season.

    GT4 European Series: Double Success in AM Class

    In the GT4 European Series, the team celebrated a special triumph: Daniel Blickle and Max Kronberg claimed the driver championship in the AM class, while the team simultaneously secured the team championship. Additionally, Hendrik Still and Joachim Bölting achieved the driver vice-championship in the Pro-AM class, with the team also claiming the vice-championship title there.

    NLS: Triple Success on the Nordschleife with Title Defense

    On the legendary Nürburgring Nordschleife, W&S Motorsport impressively demonstrated its endurance racing competence. In the NLS Nürburgring Endurance Series, the team secured three titles: Toby Goodman, Philip Miemois and Moritz Oberheim became SP10 driver champions, while AVIA W&S Motorsport won the SP10 team championship.

    In Cup3, the team successfully defended last year’s title. Joshua Bednarski was already part of the championship team last year and now claimed the Cup3 title again together with Lorenz Stegmann. This marks the team’s fourth title in the Porsche Endurance Trophy Nürburgring, making it one of the most successful teams in this one-make cup.

    GT4 Winter Series: Successful Season Start

    Already at the beginning of the year, W&S Motorsport made a statement: In the GT4 Winter Series in Spain and Portugal, Tim Horrell and Nico Gründel secured the Pro-AM driver championship, laying the foundation for the successful 2025 season.

    China GT and SRO GT Cup: International Expansion with Success

    The team’s international focus paid off particularly in Asia. Moritz Berrenberg dominated in both China GT and the SRO GT Cup, securing a total of four championship titles. In China GT, he claimed the GTS driver championship as well as the GTS AM driver championship, while Maxmore W&S Motorsport won the GTS team championship. In the SRO GT Cup, Berrenberg completed the impressive record with the AM title – both successes achieved in the respective debut years of the series.

    Team Principal Daniel Schellhaas Shows Pride

    “This season was extraordinary for our entire team,” explains Team Principal Daniel Schellhaas. “Following the already highly successful 2024 season with seven championship titles, we were able to improve significantly again in 2025. Winning 15 championship titles across six different series demonstrates the hard work and commitment of everyone involved – from our drivers to the mechanics to our partners and sponsors.”

    Schellhaas particularly highlights the team’s mentality: “What makes me especially proud is that we achieved an impressive turnaround. The season start in ADAC GT4 Germany and NLS Cup3 was anything but smooth, and we had a lot of bad luck among other things. The entire team fought back with tremendous effort, and the drivers never gave up.”

    Regarding international expansion, Schellhaas adds: “What I find particularly impressive is that we were able to transfer our successes and processes internationally. The collaboration with Maxmore in China was excellent, and the titles in the debut year in both China GT and the SRO GT Cup underscore our adaptability.”

    Schellhaas highlights the team’s versatility: “Whether sprint races in ADAC GT4 Germany and GT4 European Series or endurance races in the NLS – we achieved strong results in all formats.     In der Cup3 verteidigte das Team den Titel aus dem Vorjahr. Joshua Bednarski war bereits im Vorjahr Teil des Meisterteams und holte nun gemeinsam mit Lorenz Stegmann erneut den Cup3-Titel. Damit kann das Team auf den bereits vierten Titel in der Porsche Endurance Trophy Nürburgring zurückblicken und zählt zu den erfolgreichsten Teams in diesem Markenpokal.

    GT4 Winter Series: Erfolgreicher Saisonstart

    Bereits zu Beginn des Jahres setzte W&S Motorsport ein Ausrufezeichen: In der GT4 Winter Series in Spanien und Portugal sicherten sich Tim Horrell und Nico Gründel die Pro-AM-Fahrer-Meisterschaft und legten damit den Grundstein für die erfolgreiche Saison 2025.

    China GT und SRO GT Cup: Internationale Expansion mit Erfolg

    Die internationale Ausrichtung des Teams zahlte sich besonders in Asien aus. Moritz Berrenberg dominierte sowohl in der China GT als auch im SRO GT Cup und holte insgesamt vier Meisterschaftstitel. In der China GT sicherte er sich die GTS-Fahrer-Meisterschaft sowie die GTS-AM-Fahrer-Meisterschaft, während Maxmore W&S Motorsport die GTS-Team-Meisterschaft gewann. Im SRO GT Cup komplettierte Berrenberg die beeindruckende Bilanz mit dem AM-Titel – beide Erfolge wurden im jeweiligen Debütjahr der Serien erzielt.

    Teamchef Daniel Schellhaas zeigt sich stolz

    “Diese Saison war außergewöhnlich für unser gesamtes Team”, erklärt Teamchef Daniel Schellhaas. “Nach der bereits sehr erfolgreichen Saison 2024 mit sieben Meisterschaftstiteln konnten wir uns 2025 nochmals deutlich steigern. 15 Meisterschaftstitel in sechs verschiedenen Serien zu gewinnen, zeigt die harte Arbeit und das Engagement aller Beteiligten – von unseren Fahrern über die Mechaniker bis hin zu unseren Partnern und Sponsoren.”

    Schellhaas hebt besonders die Mentalität des Teams hervor: “Besonders stolz macht mich, dass wir eine eindrucksvolle Wende erreichen konnten. In der ADAC GT4 Germany und der NLS Cup3 ist der Saisonstart alles andere als gut verlaufen, und wir hatten unter anderem sehr viel Pech. Das gesamte Team hat sich mit viel Einsatz zurückgekämpft, und die Fahrer haben nicht aufgegeben.”

    Zur internationalen Expansion ergänzt Schellhaas: “Besonders beeindruckend finde ich, dass wir unsere Erfolge und Prozesse auch international übertragen konnten. Die Zusammenarbeit mit Maxmore in China war hervorragend, und die Titel im Debütjahr sowohl in der China GT als auch im SRO GT Cup unterstreichen unsere Anpassungsfähigkeit.”

    Schellhaas hebt die Vielseitigkeit des Teams hervor: “Ob Sprint-Rennen in der ADAC GT4 Germany und GT4 European Series oder Langstreckenrennen in der NLS – wir konnten in allen Formaten starke Ergebnisse erzielen. Das zeigt, dass wir die strategische Kompetenz und das technische Know-how besitzen, um mit dem Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport in unterschiedlichsten Rennformaten erfolgreich zu sein.”

    W&S Motorsport secures class victory at 24h Nürburgring

    Class victory in Cup3, podium finishes in SP10 and Cup3 AM despite extreme conditions and dramatic incidents

    At the 53rd edition of the ADAC RAVENOL 24h Nürburgring, W&S Motorsport delivered an impressive team performance under the most extreme conditions. While the Rowe-BMW took the overall victory in an epic battle against the Manthey “Grello,” the Ofterdingen-based team secured the class victory in Cup3 and two additional podium finishes.

    Record temperatures and power outage mark challenging 24h race

    For the first time since 2001, it remained dry throughout the entire event week. Temperatures up to 30 degrees attracted a new visitor record of 280,000 spectators but pushed man and machine to their limits. A power outage caused by an overheated cooling system led to the tenth race interruption in the event’s history – this time not rain or fog was the trigger, but the exceptional heat.

    CMS Porsche #962: Dominant class victory in Cup3

    The biggest success was celebrated by the CMS Porsche #962 with Joshua Bednarski, Finn Zulauf, Lorenz Stegmann, and Moritz Oberheim. The quartet delivered a flawless performance and won the Cup3 class with an impressive six-lap advantage over second place.

    “All drivers performed at an enormously high level,” summarizes team principal Daniel Schellhaas. “The crew and drivers lost no time over the entire 24h race and delivered extremely good lap times day and night. No penalties, no contact – in the end, we were even faster than the SP10 vehicles and reached 27th place overall.”

    Andreas Göbel from CMS was thrilled:

    “We followed the race with great excitement – only on-site do you feel what an impressive overall performance is behind it. 24 hours of full concentration and maximum effort, especially at night an incredible challenge. We are overjoyed that everything went so well and there was even victory in the end. Great respect and heartfelt congratulations to the entire team – thank you all!”

    For CMS, this victory represents a special milestone: After the Cup3 title in the NLS 2024, the company has now achieved everything on the Nordschleife – both the championship title in the endurance series and the class victory at the prestigious 24h race.

    Massivhaus Porsche #164: Podium despite gearbox damage

    The Massivhaus Porsche #164 in the SP10 class with Stephan Brodmerkel, Jürgen Vöhringer, Hendrik Still, and Niclas Wiedmann fought for a strong third place despite technical problems.

    “The car was running very well in the race and was kept on track,” the team explains. “Due to gearbox damage, we unfortunately lost a few hours, but in the end, P3 in SP10 was a very strong result.”

    ck-modelcars Porsche #982: Heroic fight back to the podium

    A true hero story was written by the ck-modelcars Porsche #982 with Christoph Krombach, Fabian Peitzmeier, Axel Duffner, and René Höber in the Cup3 AM class. The team was on course for victory but suffered two severe accidents – one at night and one in the morning hours.

    “Both accidents required extensive repairs,” reports Patrick Wagner, co-founder of W&S Motorsport. “The crew delivered an outstanding performance and brought the guys back into the race twice. Incredible! In the end, the team was rewarded with P3 in Pro/AM.”

    Team performance under extreme conditions

    At one of the most challenging 24h races in recent years with many retirements (about 44 vehicles) and severe accidents, W&S Motorsport impressively proved its strength in all areas. From the error-free drive of the Cup3 winner to problem-solving with technical defects to the heroic repair performance after severe accidents – the team showed motorsport at the highest level.

    “With three podium finishes at this demanding race, we are more than satisfied,” explains Daniel Schellhaas. “Each team mastered its own challenges and showed what W&S Motorsport stands for: professionalism, team spirit, and passion for motorsport.”
