Two Races in One Weekend: Second Place on Saturday, Victory in Cup 3 on Sunday – and a Repair That Saved the Weekend
Ofterdingen, 16 September 2026 – Only once a season does the Nürburgring Endurance Series run not just on Saturday but on Sunday as well – and W&S Motorsport went into that double-header with four cars. Saturday brought second place in Cup 3, Sunday the class win in the rain. In between came a repair that the team completed in an hour and a half.
NLS 8 – 65th ADAC Reinoldus Endurance Race
The first of the two four-hour races went to plan for the #961 Häberle Porsche. Marius Rauer, Michal Makeš and Toby Goodman ran a consistent race over 25 laps and finished second in Cup 3.
In SP10, the #164 Das Massivhaus Porsche of Stephan Brodmerkel, Constantin Schöll and Tobias Poschik came home fourth in class. For Poschik it was his first race weekend in this car on the Nordschleife. The #982 CK Porsche of Christoph Krombach, Oliver Kunz and Lion Düker took 13th place in Cup 3.
The #962 CMS Porsche caused considerably more work. The car was badly damaged in a collision during qualifying – after just a single lap, which was enough for second place in Cup 3, the session was over for Lorenz Stegmann and Moritz Oberheim. The crew repaired the Porsche in around an hour and a half and had it back on the grid in time for the race. The end result was 18th in Cup 3 – and with it points that count in the championship fight.

NLS 9 – 66th ADAC ACAS Cup
Sunday brought changeable conditions: incoming rain turned tyre choice into a lottery, and in the closing laps standing water covered parts of the Nordschleife.
This was exactly where the #962 CMS Porsche played to its strengths. Stegmann and Oberheim brought the car repaired the day before through 24 faultless laps and won Cup 3 – the reward for the previous day’s work. Overall, it was good enough for an outstanding 16th place.
The #982 CK Porsche finished 14th in Cup 3. The change in the weather caught the trio at the worst possible moment: the heaviest rain arrived on an out-lap of all times and cost several positions. In the closing stages the car worked its way forward again.
Sunday did not go to plan for the #961 Häberle Porsche. A collision followed by a repair, plus a time penalty, dropped the trio back; 15th in Cup 3 was the outcome – and with it the loss of important championship points. The #164 Das Massivhaus Porsche took eighth place in SP10. Tobias Poschik took the start from eighth on the grid and ran as high as third during his stint, before the final laps of that stint became a challenge on slicks as the rain set in.

Championship – Cup 3 Still Wide Open
In the team standings of the Porsche Endurance Trophy Nürburgring (Cup 3), the #962 CMS Porsche lies second on 91.5 points, 17.5 behind the leader. The #961 Häberle Porsche follows in fourth on 67.5 points, and the #982 CK Porsche is 11th on 40.5 points and fourth in the AM classification – it went into the weekend leading that category, and that is exactly where it wants to be again. Several positions are therefore still within reach at the season finale.

Voices From the Weekend
Team principal Patrick Wagner: “A difficult weekend. On Saturday we had major damage on the CMS Porsche, which the guys repaired in an hour and a half – after that we ran through without any problems and still picked up points. Then on Sunday came the win with exactly that car; that was the reward. The Häberle Porsche was strong on Saturday with second place, but on Sunday a collision and the repair that followed set us back and cost important points.”
Team manager Axel Randolph: “The NLS is physically brutal – it starts on Friday afternoon, and on Saturday and Sunday we are in the garage at seven in the morning. That makes me all the happier that technically we got through the entire weekend without a single issue. Sunday’s win is the reward for a crew that really delivered here for three days.”
Marius Rauer (#961): “Saturday went very well, we finished second. On Sunday I was too optimistic with an overtaking move and the penalty was deserved. Even so we take points with us, and in the last race we want to attack third place in the championship.”
Lion Düker (#982): “It was a difficult race for us. The opening phase ran in tricky conditions, then the rain came. I took over the car and was able to close up a little, but the heaviest rain arrived on my out-lap of all times – that cost us several places. Oliver then did a really good job at the end.”
Tobias Poschik (#164): “For me it was the first time in the rain on the Nordschleife and the first time in this car. On Saturday I learned a great deal, and on Sunday I was able to put it into practice: I took the start and was up to third at times during my stint. The final laps were in the rain despite slicks – very demanding, but huge fun. Thanks to Constantin, Stephan and the whole team.”
