Double pole for AVIA W&S Motorsport, third place for Berndt/Robinson, class win for Horrell/Still – the second race did not take place
Ofterdingen, 16 September 2026 – In front of 53,200 spectators, the ADAC GT4 Germany staged its penultimate race weekend at the Sachsenring – and for AVIA W&S Motorsport it came to an abrupt end. The team arrived with four Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS CS as the championship leader. Saturday brought a podium finish, a class win and a double pole for Sunday, before the second race was called off.
Qualifying – Double Pole for Sunday
In the first qualifying session on Saturday morning, Robinson and Berndt were only 0.167 seconds off the best time with a 1:25.904 – fourth on the grid. The #30 followed in sixth, the #33 in 16th and thus third in the rookie classification. In the #32, Horrell and Still set the fastest time in the PRO-AM Cup class.
In the second session the team delivered the exclamation mark of the weekend: Denny Berndt lapped the 3.645-kilometre circuit in 1:25.911 to take pole position. In the #32, Hendrik Still followed as the second-fastest driver in the entire field with a 1:25.970 – a double pole for AVIA W&S Motorsport. The #30 lined up ninth, the #33 twelfth and once again third among the rookies.

Race 1 – Podium for the #31, Class Win for the #32
Saturday afternoon’s 33-lap race ran in dry conditions. Lachlan Robinson lost several positions in the opening phase but had worked his way forward again by the pit stop. After the driver change, Denny Berndt turned up the pace once more in the closing stages and took third place and the podium.
In the PRO-AM Cup, Tim Horrell and Hendrik Still claimed the win of the day in the #32. In the overall classification, however, the strategy cost them time: the pair came in early for the driver change, and a full-course-yellow period neutralised the field immediately afterwards. Twelfth overall was the final result.
Zebis and Guillaume finished 13th overall in the #33. They too lost decisive time in the full-course-yellow period, having worked their way forward with good pace beforehand.
A strong run by the #30 ended bitterly: Alon Gabbay and Maximilian Schreyer were on course for a podium before a tyre failure forced them into the pits a few minutes from the end. Instead of a podium finish, 15th overall was the outcome – a setback for the pair in the championship fight and a loss of valuable points for the team in the teams’ standings.

Race 2 – Cancelled After Track Damage
The second race on Sunday could not be held. Damaged kerbs along the track limits could not be repaired safely and properly at short notice as rain began to fall, so the race was cancelled on safety grounds. For AVIA W&S Motorsport that was especially painful: with the #31 and the #32, the team would have occupied the entire front row. The ADAC is examining whether the race can be made up as part of the season finale at the Hockenheimring.

Championship – Defending the Title Before the Showdown in Hockenheim
Since entering the series in 2022, AVIA W&S Motorsport has won the ADAC GT4 Germany teams’ classification three times in a row. A fourth consecutive title remains within reach after the Sachsenring as well: with 265 points the team leads the standings, 13 points clear of its closest rival. Berndt and Robinson also head the drivers’ standings – after taking the title in 2024, the team wants to finish on top here again. Going into the finale, though, only five points separate the top three.
The showdown takes place at the Hockenheimring – something of a home circuit for the squad from Ofterdingen in Swabia. Hockenheim is the closest race track to the company headquarters, and the team looks back on a whole series of successful races and wins there.

Race 1 Results
#30 (Gabbay/Schreyer) – P15 overall
#31 (Robinson/Berndt) – P3 overall
#32 (Horrell/Still) – P12 overall, PRO-AM Cup class win
#33 (Zebis/Guillaume) – P13 overall
Starting grid for race 2: #31 from pole position, #32 from second on the grid. The race was cancelled.
Voices From the Weekend
Hendrik Still (#32): “Yesterday the win in the PRO-AM category – in itself a good, successful weekend. In the overall result we had a bit of bad luck: we came in early, which made absolute sense strategically, and the full course yellow came right afterwards. That cost us almost a full lap. Today then the double pole and the front row – a great starting position. The cancellation is very frustrating, especially because the rain that set in would have been perfect conditions for us.”
Lachlan Robinson (#31): “Overall a good weekend, we are still leading the championship. It is a shame that we could not run race 2 from pole position. Even so, we take a lot of momentum with us to Hockenheim.”
Nicolas Guillaume (#33): “We knew beforehand that it would be harder because I could not do any testing – you could see that clearly in qualifying. In the race the pace was good and we worked our way back. Only the full course yellow came at the worst possible moment for us.”
Team principal Daniel Schellhaas: “Unfortunately the weekend ends on a sad note. Because of the damage to the track we could not contest the last race – we would have started from one and two, and that could have made for a really exciting race. Even so, it was a great team performance. All the drivers improved across the whole weekend, we had good results and a podium. We are still leading the championship, even if only narrowly. In Hockenheim we will give everything until the very last lap.”
