W&S Motorsport Heads to the Nürburgring 24h with Five Cars

Biggest highlight of the year – W&S Motorsport ready for the Green Hell

It is the race the entire team looks forward to all year: the 24h race on the Nürburgring. A week filled with motorsport, emotion and unforgettable moments – for drivers, team and fans alike. 24 hours on the Nordschleife, long nights, unpredictable twists and the pure will to endure. That is exactly what W&S Motorsport is burning for – and exactly why the team is back again this year.

Memories of the 2025 Class Win

Last year, W&S Motorsport wrote a very special chapter at the 24h race: the CMS Porsche #962 with Moritz Oberheim and Lorenz Stegmann fought through 24 hours on the Nordschleife and ultimately claimed the class win – a moment that filled the entire team with pride and one we are determined to repeat this year. The memory is both motivation and inspiration.

This year, W&S Motorsport will line up with five cars – four Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS CS and one BMW M2. Around 250,000 spectators are expected, transforming the Nordschleife into a truly unique festival.

Five Cars, One Goal

W&S Motorsport enters the 2026 race with a strong and experienced line-up. Most of the drivers also race with W&S Motorsport in the NLS – joined by several familiar faces from the wider motorsport scene.

Voices Before the Start

Stephan Brodmerkel (#164) sums it up: “The 24h race is not just a race – it is pure motorsport. A week with fans and the team that is unmatched. We arrive with great joy, tangible euphoria and the support of the fans – with the clear goal of giving everything.”

Moritz Oberheim (#962) wants to defend the title: “I am really looking forward to it. Last year we managed to take the class win – an unforgettable moment. Sharing the car with Lorenz again makes it even better, as we are a well-established pairing. We want to defend the title. The whole team is well prepared, but the competition has strong driver line-ups too. It will be exciting.”

Zhen Dong Zhang (#961) is excited about his first race with W&S: “It is my third 24h race at the Nürburgring – but my first with W&S Motorsport. I am really very pleased, because the team is very strong and brings enormous experience to the 24h race.”

Christoph Krombach (#982) knows the challenge: “In 2025 we showed in the fiercely contested AM class of Cup3 that we are a force to be reckoned with. This year there will be 150 cars on the grid – it will be even more crowded and the racing will surely be tougher. Our goal for 2026: first we have to finish, then we can finish first. Good traffic management and the necessary bit of luck – and many things become possible.”

Yanis and Frank Anhorn (#899) start together: “Dad and I feel well prepared. We’ve worked hard, analysed our times and data, and know where we can give a bit more. We are very positive and looking forward to the race.”

Team principal Daniel Schellhaas looks ahead to the season highlight with great anticipation: “The 24h race is a very special event for all of us. We have a strong driver line-up and a perfectly prepared service team. The competition will be strong – but we are ready. Heading into long nights on the Nordschleife – that is exactly what we are here for.”
