AVIA W&S Motorsport is set to compete in the SP10 class of the Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie with a promising driver lineup. Philip Miemois, Moritz Oberheim, and Toby Goodman will share driving duties in the #165 Porsche 718 Cayman GT4.
Following their championship victory in ADAC GT4 Germany and success in the Cup2 class of PETN, where the team secured a championship title and most recently finished as vice-champions with two class wins, four second-place finishes, and an impressive third overall in the fifth NLS round, entering the SP10 class marks the logical next step for AVIA W&S Motorsport.
Philip Miemois returns as a familiar face to the team. The Finnish driver, who previously achieved success with W&S Motorsport in 2023, will share the cockpit with two proven Nordschleife experts. Moritz Oberheim, a five-time NLS class champion and two-time PETN Cup3 champion, enters his third season with the team. Completing the trio is British driver Toby Goodman, the reigning 240i class champion, overall winner, and junior champion from last year.
“I’m thrilled to return to W&S for the AVIA SP10 project in 2025. With Toby and Moritz, we have a strong driver lineup, and we’re ready for this exciting challenge. The competition between different cars will add extra excitement. With the first NLS round this weekend, we’re eager to show what we’re capable of,” says Philip Miemois, looking forward to the new season.
Moritz Oberheim, who boasts an impressive 34 class victories in NLS, shares this enthusiasm: “After an extremely successful 2024, I’m delighted to enter my third year with W&S Motorsport! Philip has already shown remarkable performance in the Cayman, and with Toby, we’ve gained a young, talented driver for our team. The SP10 class has become very interesting and competitive again. With our main sponsor AVIA and the support of Daniel and Patrick, we’ve put together this project. A new challenge with a familiar goal: winning!”
British newcomer Toby Goodman, who clinched the 2021 Lotus Cup Europe title, adds: “It’s a real privilege to be part of this project. With Moritz and Philip by my side, two of the fastest drivers in their class, and the support of a team like W&S, we’ve built a very strong package for this season. A huge thank you to Daniel and the sponsors for this opportunity. It’s going to be a long season, but I’ll give 100% both on and off the track.”
“AVIA Deutschland GmbH looks back with great pride on our successful journey with W&S. Particularly the achievements from last year demonstrate the passion and sporting ambition of the AVIA W&S Motorsport team,” says Werner Ressel, responsible for sponsorship at AVIA. “This proven foundation motivates us to approach the new season with even more commitment and ambition.”
“We’re very pleased to continue our successful partnership with AVIA. This long-standing collaboration is a crucial element of our motorsport program. With this strong driver trio and AVIA’s support, we’re well-positioned to compete at the front again this season,” explains Team Principal Daniel Schellhaas.
The 2025 NLS season kicks off on March 22 with the 70th ADAC Westfalenfahrt on the Nürburgring-Nordschleife.
