Championship lead secured – Perfect weekend at Red Bull Ring

AVIA W&S Motorsport celebrated a perfect weekend at the ADAC GT4 Germany round at Red Bull Ring and took over the lead in the teams’ championship. With two victories, three podium finishes and maximum points, the team demonstrated its class and created optimal conditions for the finale at Hockenheim.

Qualifying: Strong starting positions for both races

The weekend began well with two successful qualifying sessions for AVIA W&S Motorsport. In the first qualifying, Alon Gabbay and Thomas Gore secured second place on the grid, followed by Hendrik Still and Philipp Gogollok who claimed third. Oskar Kristensen and Lachlan Robinson secured fourth, while Luciano Schneider and Maximilian Schreyer achieved tenth.

The second qualifying confirmed the team’s strong form. Once again Gabbay and Gore secured second, Kristensen and Robinson claimed fourth. Schneider and Schreyer improved to ninth, while Gogollok and Still achieved tenth.

Race 1: Still and Gogollok celebrate second season victory

The first race developed into an exciting Porsche battle. Hendrik Still showed a strong performance and fought his way forward before handing the car over to Philipp Gogollok. Gogollok overtook the long-time leader Storm Gjerdrum twelve minutes before the end and drove to victory.

Finally the victory at Red Bull Ring together with Philipp and AVIA W&S Motorsport, who gave us a fantastic car,” Still rejoiced. “With the triumph at the Nürburgring and second place at Sachsenring, you can see how good our form currently is.”

Philipp Gogollok beamed after his second victory at Red Bull Ring: “A victory at Red Bull Ring couldn’t be more beautiful. Now I’ve managed this for the second time after my triumph last year. Hendrik did an excellent job.”

Alon Gabbay and Thomas Gore secured second place with a spectacular overtaking maneuver in the final lap. “I’m very happy because we were on the podium again,” Gabbay explained. “The battle at the end was difficult, but I managed to get past the Aston Martin.

Oskar Kristensen and Lachlan Robinson finished the first race in fifth, while Luciano Schneider and Maximilian Schreyer achieved tenth.

Race 2: First shared victory for Robinson and Kristensen

The second race brought the weekend’s next highlight. Lachlan Robinson and Oskar Kristensen celebrated their first shared victory in ADAC GT4 Germany.

I’m incredibly happy to finally get a win together with Oskar,” Robinson beamed. “We’ve been waiting for this for a long time. Oskar and I had mega pace all weekend. I cannot thank the team enough for all their hard work.

Oskar Kristensen confirmed the strong team performance: “We had really good pace all weekend long. The car was mega all weekend and perfectly balanced. The team did a fantastic job. We had a perfect start and a perfect safety car restart. It was simply perfect.

Once again Alon Gabbay and Thomas Gore secured second place, completing their double podium. Hendrik Still and Philipp Gogollok finished fifth, while Maximilian Schreyer and Luciano Schneider achieved their best result of the season with sixth place. Particularly pleasing: Schreyer also secured victory in the rookie classification.

A great weekend. Probably one of my best in the ADAC GT4 Germany championship,” Gore celebrated. “A double podium and excellent representation for Jamaica. My slogan stands: Jamaica to the world.

I’m very satisfied with this weekend,” Schneider explained. “After a somewhat difficult and very educational start to the season, things finally went really well at Red Bull Ring. We want to take this momentum to Hockenheim and give everything once more at the finale.”

Team principal delighted with championship lead

Team principal Daniel Schellhaas was thrilled about the perfect weekend: “We scored maximum points for the teams’ championship and took over the championship lead. This gives us a comfortable advantage for the finale at Hockenheim. These are excellent conditions and I’m very grateful to all sponsors, partners, the team, the drivers and all supporters.”

Schellhaas highlighted the team’s comeback: “We worked our way forward after a difficult start to the season. We prepared very well for the race. The cars were extremely fast at all times. We could show our class here and that makes me proud.”

Outlook for the finale

With the teams’ championship lead secured and a comfortable advantage, AVIA W&S Motorsport heads optimistically into the finale at Hockenheim. The team has proven that it has returned to top form after a difficult start to the season and is ready to fight for the titles.
